VAC UK delivers for new Amazon depot

VAC UK has helped to pave the way for works at a new Amazon distribution warehouse in Hayes, West London.

It proved another great example of the extra margin vacuum excavation provides when exposing utilities. Although the ground had been thoroughly cat scanned, only about half of the cables and services the team ultimately uncovered were identified.

Patrick Curran, VAC UK Director, said “With the typical cost of a service strike now somewhere upwards of £10,000, and that’s before considering possible health and safety risks, investigations, and reputational damage, it shows just what an essential tool vacuum excavation is on site.”
