VAC UK completes work in Bristol

VAC UK has completed a project to expose ducting and remove shuttering so new services can be installed into the basement of CEG’s flagship 200,000sq ft EQ building on Victoria Street, in the heart of Bristol.
Patrick Curran, VAC UK Director, explained that the location of the new state-of-the-art office buildings presented challenges both in terms of access and a constrained site. “Vacuum excavation is perfectly suited to this task,” he said
“Vacuum excavation operates within a small site footprint – typically 33 percent or more smaller than conventional excavation – making it ideal for built up areas and cities. The skilled team were able to operate safely from the main road and over the site fencing without causing disruption. All while avoiding overhead and ground obstacles within the site.”
